PUROMYCINR VECTORS
Many vectors carrying the puromycin-resistance gene are readily available within the scientific community (i.e. pBS-Pac, pBabe-puro).
Vectors or constructs using puromycin-resistance genes are now commercially available :
- pORF-Puro from InvivoGen.
InvivoGen is the only supplier of an engineered pac gene where most (77) CpG motifs have been removed and codon usage has been optimized for mammals.
- pKO SelectPuro and others from Stratagene
- pTRE2pur, pIRESpuro2, pPUR, pLPCX and others from Clontech (BD Biosciences)
